Dee Alipanah – Chief Executive Officer

Dee joined GTA in March 2012 as the CEO. He is a telecommunication industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Dee is a dynamic leader with extensive international experience and is known for leading companies through cycles of start ups, high growth and turn around. He leads GTA through his experience and insight in business and technology combined with his leadership philosophy that is based on trust, accountability, and teamwork. Prior to joining GTA Dee was the founder and CEO of Stream Wireless which he successfully grew to make it one of the leaders in its space. Before founding Stream, he was an Executive Officer at Wireless Facilities Inc. (Nasdaq: WFII), where as Sr. Vice-President of Engineering, he was responsible for global engineering. He also served as the Managing Director of WFI EMEA, responsible for all operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to WFI, Dee was Vice President at Entel Technologies, a pioneer wireless engineering and deployment firm in the US. Dee started his career in telecommunications at Dominion Resources (Dominion Virginia Power), and has also worked at MITRE Corporation a member of technical staff. Dee has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia.

Farzad Ghassemi – Founder and Executive Chairman


Farzad is the Founder and Executive Chairman of GTA. He is a pioneer in the wireless consulting industry with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to founding GTA in 2006, he served as Executive Officer and President of Wireless Facilities, Inc. (Nasdaq: WFII). At WFI, he was responsible for the company’s Wireless Network Services Business Unit with annual revenue of $290 MM. His responsibilities included Engineering and Network Deployment services globally. Prior to WFI, Farzad held technical and management positions with BCI Wireless and LCC International. At LCC, Farzad was responsible for the RF design, development, and optimization of analog / digital cellular communication systems (AMPS, IS-136, GSM, CDMA, and iDEN). Farzad received his M.B.A. in Management from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia.

Aman Udani – Chief Operations Officer

Aman joined GTA in June 2007 and is currently our COO. With over 20 years of telecommunications experience, he was one of the first to work in the PCS digital systems. Prior to joining GTA, Aman was the Senior Director of Engineering at Wireless Facilities, Inc. (Nasdaq: WFII), responsible for engineering management, strategy, and, partnerships. While at WFI, he managed engineering projects for CDMA, GSM and iDEN technologies in all top 50 markets in the US. He also supported international sales of engineering services in EMEA, Asia and Latin America. He began his career in wireless telecom as a Consultant for Lucent Technologies supporting the launch of multiple CDMA markets in the US. Aman earned his Master of Science degree in Physics from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and Astronomy from Benedictine College, Atchison, Kansas.

James Lee – Sr. VP of Operations and Business Strategy

James joined GTA in February 2014 as Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Strategy. He is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry. Prior to joining GTA, James was the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Sales at Telecom Technology Services (TTS). While at TTS, he was responsible for managing and driving business performance of the Engineering Services division of the company, formulating and executing long-term strategies to foster growth across business areas and customer accounts. James is a proven leader with deep expertise in developing customer relations, a passion for building a strong execution team and a disciplined focus on operations. He credited his skills and business foresight from the years he spent running his own company, TTK Wireless Telecom (TTK), where he served as the Managing Director, responsible for business execution and Sales. While at TTK, he supported Bell South International, BCP and Nortel Networks in deploying the first digital telecom network in the Northeast region of the country. He also served as a Senior Director at Wireless Facilities Inc. (Nasdaq: WFII) where was responsible in managing key customer accounts across the US. While at LCC, he supported Bell South International and Optus Communications in deploying Australia first GSM network. He later returned to the US and supported the deployment of an iDEN system for Nextel across multiple states in the Southeast. James started his careers at LCC in 1990, after graduating from George Washington University with a BS in Electrical Engineering.

Liz Fiallo – Senior Vice President of Sales

Liz is the Senior Vice President of Sales for GTA and manages sales and account management globally for the company. With over 25 years of experience in Sales and Business Development in the Wireless Industry, Liz has a strong background on sales development and expansion, strategic planning, revenue growth and profit gains. Prior to joining GTA in 2015, Liz was North America Senior Vice President of Sales for Tech Mahindra ( formerly LCC International) overseeing sales and business growth to Government, Enterprise and Telecommunications sectors. Prior to Tech Mahindra, Liz was the Sr. Vice President of the Americas for Xceed Technologies managing sales for network optimization and rules-based network performance management solutions. Liz held other key Sales positions at LCC International and Cable and Wireless. She and holds a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Radford University.

Craig Robinson – VP Engineering

Craig is the VP of Engineering at GTA, and has over 20 years of telecom experience, with a background in strategic planning, network design, and network deployment. His career includes stints at carriers and consulting firms where his focus centered on feasibility analysis, technology consulting, and network design and deployment. Prior to joining GTA, he served as VP of Engineering and Operations at Stream Wireless where he was responsible for Stream’s engineering and operations, including all P&L. He also served as Director of Fixed Network Engineering at LCC where his responsibilities included core network engineering, transport/transmission engineering, network optimization, switching and subsystem planning, and transport facility implementation for microwave, leased line, and fiber optic systems. Prior to joining LCC, Craig served as Manager of Systems Engineering at Cisco Systems where he was responsible for strategic planning for aspects of Cisco’s softswitch development and implementation. Craig also served as the Manager of Transport Engineering for Teligent, where he was responsible for the planning and design for all transport facilities and circuits, including trunking with ILECs and IXCs and backhaul between Teligent facilities. Prior to joining Teligent, Craig was a consultant at Booz, Allen, Hamilton where he supported their telecommunications practice. Craig has a BS in Electrical Engineering from NC State University.

Antonio Hernandez – CEO of GTA Telecom de Mexico


Antonio joined GTA in October 2015 as CEO of GTA Telecom de Mexico after the IT and telecommunications technology solutions company, Intech, based in Saltillo, Mexico was acquired by GTA. He along with Jorge Sala were the founding partners of Intech. Antonio has over 25 years of experience throughout the world in the software development and telecommunications industries. Prior to the acquisition of Intech, he was the CEO of the company and lead it for over 10 years through his vision and leadership to build as a sound and strategic supplier to its global clients and partners. Antonio accomplished this by looking at solutions from a business perspective and not solely from a technology perspective. With a focus on processes the company consistently and predictably delivered high quality results while maintaining a great deal of flexibility. Antonio credits his business and technology insights to the time he spent at Ericsson spearheading the creation of The Center for Adaptation of Intelligent Networks, Latin America. Under Antonio’s guidance and leadership, The Center flourished and led to the creation of two additional Centers within Ericsson and eventually grew to produce $4 million in annual revenue. Antonio initially began his career in the research division of the Electrical Research Institute where he worked on research projects to investigate the possibility of providing telecommunications services through the electrical power grid and the electrical wiring inside of buildings. Throughout his career, Antonio has exhibited entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen and the leadership skills that have allowed him to successfully create new areas of business as well as to transform existing organizations. Antonio has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de la Laguna and a Masters in Electronics with a specialization in Computing from CENIDET.

Jorge Sala – COO of GTA Telecom de Mexico


Jorge joined GTA in October 2015 as COO of GTA Telecom de Mexico after the IT and telecommunications technology solutions company, Intech, based in Saltillo, Mexico was acquired by GTA. He along with Antonio Hernandez were the founding partners of Intech. Jorge has over 16 years of experience in the software development industry, 14 of which are focused on the telecommunications market. Prior to the acquisition of Intech, he was the COO of the company and through the combination of his technical background, market knowledge, business acumen and leadership the company established itself as a valued provider of technical services to global technology companies. His focus to increase productivity and efficiency while delivering higher quality products and his skills in all phases of the software development life cycle and management enabled him to create a development methodology that is truly unique in the industry. Jorge started his career with Ericsson where he was instrumental in the creation of Ericsson’s Center for Adaptation of Intelligent Networks, Latin America. He has a degree in Computer Systems Programming from the Technological Institute of Saltillo.
