GTA Successfully Completes Software Testing Project Awarded by Laureate Mexico
GTA demonstrates ability to effectively implement its software testing methodology with great results and a quick turnaround
The GTA Group of Companies, a leading independent provider of engineering, software, and business consulting services, solutions and products to the telecommunications and IT industries, announced today that it has successfully completed the implementation of the software testing project which it was awarded by Laureate International Universities in Mexico.
Laureate International Universities, owned and operated by Laureate Education, has a network of more than 80 campus-based and online universities in 28 countries offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs to over one million students worldwide. In order to run its day-to-day operations, Laureate uses a multitude of software programs which range from applications for student services to administrative and financial applications integral to the daily work of university staff. In order to improve the quality of all its software applications Laureate Mexico awarded GTA the software testing project to deliver high quality solutions for both institutions: UVM (The Universidad del Valle de México) and UNITEC (The Universidad Tecnológica de México). Under the terms of the contract, GTA customized and implemented its software testing methodologies by developing agile processes, procedures and methods for testing. GTA also provided the testing tools, its proven expertise and training for Laureate Mexico’s test engineers on the use of the testing practices and the set of tools.
The benefits of this project to Laureate Mexico are predicted to be a reduction in administrative costs by decreasing the amount of reworks and quality problems of its software. To ensure ongoing efficiencies and quality for its software applications, GTA continues to provide Laureate Mexico with remote test engineering and ongoing support.
“Having successfully completed various software projects for Laureate Mexico corporate, UVM and UNITEC, we have demonstrated our strong expertise on the complete software development cycle and are pleased that Laureate Mexico has placed its trust in GTA,” said Antonio Hernandez, CEO of GTA Telecom de Mexico. “GTA aims to be a reliable partner for Laureate Mexico and we look forward to growing our relationship and providing it with additional support as this project expands to additional university locations in other cities and countries.”
“We are delighted to have a reliable and experienced partner such as GTA, with whom we have been working with for over two years and have already successfully completed several projects. Through this implementation, in a short period of time Laureate Mexico is anticipating a reduction in its administrative cost and I am positive that with GTA’s expertise in software development and verification we will be able to take on challenging projects together,” said Rodrigo Navarro, a spokesperson for Laureate Mexico.
